Where have you transformed lately?
Not your business. Not your team. Not your technology.
You. Your leadership.
It’s easy to talk about transformation as something “out there”. The restructure, the new operating model, the culture shift, the capability uplift. We can point to projects, milestones, org charts and metrics.
But your own leadership transformation is different. It’s harder to measure. And it’s the one that determines whether any of the other big change is possible.
As we hit the midpoint of 2026 take a moment, in the craziness of year end, to consider where you have shifted, grown, stretched, or transformed your thinking or being lately?
As leaders, there is a lot of giving. Your attention. Your energy. Your decisions. Your care. Your capacity to hold other people’s uncertainty while you try to manage your own. But if you don’t invest in your own growth and transformation, you can’t realistically expect your teams or your business to grow and change either.
Because teams don’t change because you tell them to, they change when they see something different.
And if you keep showing up with the same version of leadership - same patterns, same triggers, same default responses, same blind spots - what can really change?
I think about leadership growth in terms of a meaningful investment every couple of years. Not another small tweak. A stretch. Something that challenges your perspective, disrupts your certainty, and opens up new possibilities.
It might be formal learning, executive coaching, peer mentoring, a new role – something that enables a deliberate shift in how you lead, how you listen, how you decide, how you empower, how you handle tension.
Transformation requires Intention.
Mid-year is a powerful moment because it removes the illusion that “we’ve got plenty of time.” We’re not at the start anymore. We’re in it. This is when you either drift… or you decide.
So, what do you want to shift in yourself for the rest of 2026?
- Do you need to increase your impact and influence?
- Get clearer and more aligned in your priorities?
- More courageous in your conversations?
- Better at leveraging others instead of carrying it all?
- More intentional with your attention and energy?
Your leadership is the platform your organisation stands on. If you upgrade nothing else this year, upgrade that.
And if you’re serious about your own leadership growth and want to explore what a meaningful stretch could look like, reach out. Let’s talk about possibilities.
