One of the questions I’ve been getting as the launch gets closer is: what’s actually inside the book?
So I thought I’d give you a little look.
Designed For More: Build a Life and Career You Love is not a book you simply read and put back on the shelf. It is designed to be worked through. There are reflections, practical exercises, self-coaching questions and tools to help you make sense of where you are, what matters now and what you want to create next.
The book follows a simple path from awareness to action.
Introduction
We begin by setting the scene for the work ahead.
This is about stepping out of autopilot and becoming more intentional about the life and career you are creating. Not because everything needs to change, but because it is worth checking that the life you are building still fits who you are now.
Chapter 1: Is This Really the Life I Want?
This is where the questions begin.
You might have built a good life. A successful career. A strong reputation. And still have that niggling feeling that something is not quite right.
This chapter helps you explore that honestly, without assuming the answer is to blow everything up and start again.
Chapter 2: Why Does It Feel So Hard?
Knowing you want change is one thing. Actually making it happen is another.
This chapter looks at why career and life decisions can feel so difficult, particularly when you have already built something valuable. We unpack the fear, expectations, identity, trade-offs and uncertainty that can keep us stuck.
Chapter 3: Introducing the 4D Approach
This is where the practical path begins.
The 4Ds are:
Discover. Define. Design. Do.
They give you a simple way to move from reflection to clarity, from clarity to possibility, and from possibility to action.
Chapter 4: Discover
Before you can decide what comes next, you need to understand what is already true.
This chapter is about getting curious about yourself. Your story, values, strengths, priorities, energy, career patterns and the things that bring out your best.
There is a lot of self-coaching in this section, because the clues to your future are often already there. You just need to notice them.
Chapter 5: Define
Discovery creates information. Define helps you decide what matters.
This is where you start to get clearer on your priorities, your version of success, your non-negotiables and the kind of life and career you actually want to build from here.
It is about separating what genuinely matters to you from what you have simply inherited, absorbed or been expected to want.
Chapter 6: Design
This is where things start to open up.
You begin exploring career options, creating possible paths, mind mapping ideas and building career horizons that feel aligned with who you are and the life you want.
This chapter is not about finding one perfect answer. It is about creating more possibilities and then shaping the ones that fit.
Chapter 7: Do
At some point, thinking has to become action.
This chapter helps you turn your ideas into movement. The conversations to have. The opportunities to create. The experiments to run. The support you need. The decisions you may need to make.
You do not need to know every step. You just need to know the next one.
Chapter 8: Your Best Chapter Is Still Ahead
This is where everything comes together.
The goal of the book is not to create a perfect plan for the rest of your life. It is to give you the confidence, self-awareness and practical tools to keep designing as your life continues to change.
Because your best chapter may still be ahead of you.
That is exactly what Designed For More is about.
Build a life and career you love.
Coming soon.
