I’ve had this conversation with so many leaders over the years, and I’ve had versions of it with myself too.
Nothing is necessarily “wrong.” You might still be doing well, achieving, being trusted with more and looking successful. But underneath all of that, there can be a quiet sense that you’ve been following the path in front of you rather than consciously choosing it.
That doesn’t mean the path was wrong. It may have been exactly right for a long time.
The better question is whether it still fits now.
So this weekend, reflect on these three questions:
1. Which parts of my current career have I consciously chosen, and which parts have I simply continued because they were the next logical step?
2. Where am I still being guided by external expectations rather than what genuinely matters to me now?
3. If I gave myself permission to redesign one part of my career or life, what would I change first?
Remember that you have a choice…
And have a great weekend
Michelle
