Friday Fuel - This Weeks Reflection Questions

By the end of the week, most leaders don’t need more advice.

                They need space.

Space to hear themselves think again… without the noise of deadlines, meetings, and everyone else’s expectations.

This week, and the many career related conversations I’ve had, reminded me again of something simple (and quietly powerful):

Your career is always giving you feedback, but you only hear it when you slow down.

Not the dramatic, “quit your job” kind of feedback.

                The everyday kind.

                • The meeting that drains you before it even starts
                • The work you do brilliantly, but feel strangely flat afterwards
                • The moments you come alive - and the moments you disappear
                • The Sunday night feeling you keep trying to talk yourself out of

Career clarity rarely arrives as a lightning bolt.
                It shows up as patterns.

And if you don’t stop long enough to notice those patterns, you’ll keep defaulting to the same choices… in a different year.

So my Fuel Friday focus this week is career reflection - not from panic, but from honesty.

Not “What should I do next?”
But “What is my career trying to tell me?”

                Friday Fuel Career Reflection Questions

                1. What gave me energy this week - and what consistently took it?
                2. Where did I feel most used well - and where did I feel like I was pretending?
                3. If nothing changed for the next 6 months, would I feel relieved… or trapped? Why?

You don’t need to have the answer today.

But you do need to keep asking better questions - before burnout forces the decision for you.

If you’re feeling the nudge that a shift is coming, treat it with respect.

                A nudge is data.
                A pattern is a message.
And your next move deserves clarity - not exhaustion.

Happy Fuel Friday. And have a great weekend.

                Michelle
